  • 20 mocks, valid a year

MockLive Roleplay

Practise the conversations you get one shot at.

Someone who pushes back. A debrief that quotes you.

The discovery call, the price objection, the feedback nobody wants to give. A live call with someone who pushes back, then a debrief that quotes what you said and what it cost you.

Interviews · System design round

Kai asks: “Walk me through a system you designed and the trade-offs you made under load.” You answer: “We sharded by tenant, so one hot customer couldn’t take the cluster down. The cost was cross-tenant reporting, which I moved to a nightly job…”

Your words, quoted back to you.

The score is the one you would have got, not the one you would like. A quote appears in the report only if you said it, and the video is yours alone.

“We, um, basically sharded it and it kind of worked, so the team was happy with that.”

“We” hides your decision. No numbers, no failure mode, and the trade-off you mentioned earlier never came back.

Say instead: “I sharded by tenant. It cut p99 from 1.8s to 300ms, and the cost was cross-tenant reporting, which I moved to a nightly job.”

  • Nothing is inflated

An exam score is the band you would have got. An interview score is against the rubric the round is really graded on.

  • Nothing is invented

Every quote in a report is something you said, with the timestamp you said it at.

  • Nothing is shared

Recordings and transcripts are yours. Your slides render in your browser and the file is never stored.

Inside the room

Why it feels like a conversation, not a voicemail.

Most voice AI waits for silence, then writes a reply, then reads it out. Ours decides you have finished from what you said, and starts the reply while you are still trailing off. One turn, measured end to end, looks like this.

One turn, measured end to end. You finish speaking at 0 ms. The reply is already being drafted from 300 ms before that, its first sentence is voiced as you finish, and you hear it about 400 ms later. Waiting for silence, then writing, synthesising and playing the reply, takes about 2.4 seconds.
  • 01

    Semantic turn-taking

A turn model decides when you have finished from what you said. It holds through a mid-thought pause and releases on a completed answer.

  • 02

    Speculative replies

The reply is drafted and its first sentence synthesised while you are still trailing off. A wrong guess is cancelled before you hear a word of it.

  • 03

    Talk over it

Interrupt when you need to, the way you would a person. Echo from laptop speakers is filtered, so it works without headphones.

  • 04

    Two models, two jobs

A fast model drives the live conversation. A deeper one scores the whole session afterwards. Speed in the room, rigour in the report.

In one paragraph

What MockLive AI is

MockLive AI is a voice practice platform where you speak out loud to an AI interviewer, examiner or patient and get a scored report with the full transcript: mock job interviews for 47 roles, full IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and Duolingo English Test mocks, OET Speaking, PLAB 2 and AMC clinical stations, US and UK visa interviews, presentations and sales roleplay, with a free session or quick mock in each and no card.

Questions people ask

Is MockLive AI free?

Yes, to start. Every product has a free first session or quick mock and no card is asked for: a 7-minute mock interview, a quick mock of each English exam, a full IELTS Speaking test, a first OET role play, a first PLAB 2 or AMC station, a first roleplay call and presentation, and five minutes of visa interview practice. After that you buy a pass.

How much does MockLive AI cost?

Passes are bought once and priced for your country. For you: $39 for 15 mock interviews, $59.90 for 20 full IELTS mocks, $39.90 for 10 full OET mocks and $29.90 for 40 PLAB 2 or AMC stations. Roleplay monthly, at $29 a month, is the only subscription.

How does it work?

You speak out loud; you do not type. The AI interviewer, examiner, officer or patient listens, follows up on what you actually said and pushes back on thin answers. When you finish you get a report scored against the published criteria, the full transcript and every answer to replay.

Are the scores official?

No. MockLive AI is independent and not affiliated with IELTS, ETS, Pearson, Duolingo, OET, the GMC or the AMC. Scores are estimates against each test’s published criteria, so you know where you stand before you pay for the real test.

Can I use it during a real interview?

No, by design. Nothing runs during a real interview or exam. It is practice for before, so that you do not need help during.

Which languages does it work in?

Job interview practice works in 47 languages and this site is in 12. Exam practice is in English, as the exams are.
