What APEUni is
A PTE Academic and PTE Core practice platform on the web and on iOS and Android apps, with records synced between them. It scores the speaking tasks (Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, Re-tell Lecture, Answer Short Question) and the writing tasks with AI, and offers scored mock tests.
How practice happens
Question-by-question practice with AI scoring, plus mock tests. Practise one task type at a time, as often as you like within your scoring allowance.
How it is priced
Free, with limits their help pages state: 5 speaking scorings a day and 3 writing scorings on registration. VIP unlocks unlimited scoring and unlimited mock tests for the VIP period. VIP prices are shown in their apps and on their site, and by their own note differ between Apple and the website, so we do not quote one here.

What APEUni is better at
Answered honestly, because a comparison page where the author wins every row is an advert and reads like one.
- Volume. Drilling one task type fifty times in an evening is exactly what PTE rewards, and a large practice bank with instant scoring is built for it.
- Phone apps. Practising Repeat Sentence on a commute is realistic with APEUni and not with MockLive, which runs in the browser.
- A free tier that is genuinely usable every day, and a community of candidates who compare notes on it.
