Describe something you do to relax.
You should say
- what it is
- when you usually do it
- how long you spend on it
- and explain why it helps you
wind down
switch off
put my feet up
take my mind off things
a bit of me time
recharge my batteries
The way I actually relax, as opposed to the way I'd like to say I relax, is walking with no destination. I'd love to claim it's meditation or reading. It's leaving the flat and walking for an hour in whatever direction seems reasonable. I do it most evenings and more when something's bothering me. What makes it work, I think, is that it occupies the part of my mind that would otherwise be looking for something to do. Sitting still doesn't relax me at all — I get restless and end up on my phone, which is the opposite of restful. Walking gives that part of me a job and lets the rest wander. I've noticed I solve things on walks that I couldn't solve at a desk, and I've read since that this is well documented, which was satisfying. The only downside is weather. I do go out in the rain, and I always regret it about fifteen minutes in, and I go again the next night.
- “Occupies the part of my mind that would otherwise be looking for something to do”仔细描述了一种内心机制。
- whether people are more stressed than in the past
- how work and rest should be balanced
- what employers owe their staff in terms of wellbeing
Describe a skill you would like to learn.
Describe a sport or physical activity you enjoy.
Describe a hobby you have taken up recently.
Describe a meal you like to cook or eat.
Describe a journey you make regularly.
Describe something you do to stay healthy.
